Zaj (zahj) -- Saint; primarily used to refer to specific revered figures in Blurby religion.
Zajdabo (zahj-dah-boh) -- Temple of the Blurby religion, generally devoted to a single ancient Blurby who had achieved zaj (or occasionally hamblurby) status in their lifetime.
Zajdabo'oo (zahj-dah-boh-oo) -- Blurby priest, in charge of cleaning and maintaining a temple as well as supplying food and water for visitors.
Zajr (zahj-uhr) -- Saintly, holy.
Zam (zaam) -- Magic; various techniques which make use of a small "spark" of energy innate to some species in order to manipulate and trigger changes in outside forces such as the weather, objects, and even other lifeforms.
Zambinus (zaam-bee-nuhs) -- Realm of the god Binus according to the long-dead K'hyurbhi religion. It was believed to be a small planet with an unusual orbit, only passing by Nummorro once every couple decades. Today, the name is also used for a comet with a similar orbit which may have inspired the old legend.
Zambu (zaam-boo) -- Magic spell.
Zambuzl (zaam-boo-zuhl) -- One of the eight K'hyurbhi tribes.
Zamdi (zaam-dee) -- The "spark" of innate magical power that enables some species (such as humans and Burijeoo) to learn and use magic.
Zammer (zaam-uhr) -- Magical.
Ze (zay) -- God, deity, guardian spirit.
Zer (zayr) -- Divine, godly; of or related to a god or gods.
Zezdabo (zayz-dah-boh) -- Temple or church devoted to a specific god; typically used in reference to the ancient K'hyurbhi religion, though it can be applied to temples of other religions with a pantheon of many gods that are sometimes worshiped separately.
Zhel (zhehl) -- One hundred and forty-four.
Zheloro (zhehl-ohr-oh) -- Two million nine hundred and eighty-five thousand nine hundred and eighty-four.
Zhingaru (zhin-gah-roo) -- God of kihlah in the long-dead K'hyurbhi religion, generally portrayed as a one-eyed, many-tentacled creature wearing robes. "Zhingaru" has also been used as the name of a floating island where one or more of the gods was said to live; it's unclear which usage of the name came first.

Zyusho (zyoo-shoh) -- Warp hole; a portal from one location to another, essentially a hole in the fabric of space itself connecting the two points directly.
Zzzt (ziht) -- Lightning, electricity. Used as a verb, means "to shock" or "to electrocute."
